Are there any Kickstarter exclusives?

Nothing in the campaign is technically exclusive to the campaign. However, the Mothra Titan pack, 4-character card promo pack, upgrade packs, dice trays, Collector Coin, and card sleeves will not be available in distribution. We may have some additional stock on our website and at conventions after backers are fulfilled.

What about Skar King? MUTOs? Rodan? Etc.?

Given the size of the Titan figures, it’s not practical for us to include all the cool options in this initial offering. That said, if the game is successful, we could certainly add more characters in the future.

Will Pledge Over Time be available in the pledge manager?

Pledge Over Time (PLOT) only applies to items in your Kickstarter pledge. Items added later in the pledge manager do not qualify for PLOT.

What are the shipping regions and restrictions?

Please refer to the main campaign page for shipping regions. We cannot ship to PO Boxes. We cannot ship to certain countries due to issues with the local postal system or other factors, including the following countries:

Do I have to pay VAT?

The pledge cost includes the VAT fees (shipping and product) for the UK and EU only. Other destinations will have to pay the relevant VAT separately from the campaign.

What is your refund/cancelation policy?

You can cancel at any time prior to the end of the campaign without being charged. After the campaign ends, but before the pledge manager closes, you can cancel your order for a 90% refund. After the pledge manager closes you can cancel for a 75% refund, which reflects the additional expenses we have incurred in manufacturing and shipping items. We will not refund pledges less than $20. We cannot promise a refund after shipping starts but will consider it on a case-by-case basis. All refund requests must be made to [email protected]

What languages will the game be available in? (Localization)

We currently only have plans for English-language editions of the game. We might have some options for other languages in the future, but that is beyond the scope of this campaign.

How do I get the Collector Coin for free?

The Collector Coin is a bonus freebie for backers who signed up to be notified about the campaign in advance. As long as you back the campaign with the same email address you signed up to be notified, it will be added to your cart in the pledge manager later. The coin will only be sent if you have other product in your final order on Kickstarter or the Pledge manager. If you do not qualify for the free coin, you can add it manually on Kickstarter or in the Pledge manager.

Do you take PayPal/Venmo/other payment outside of Kickstarter/Backerkit?

No. We are not able to take payment outside of Kickstarter and Backerkit.

How will this game be fulfilled? (Logistics)

For this campaign we are utilizing existing partnerships for almost all of our international shipments. If you live in the UK, EU, AU/NZ or Asia your experience should be very similar to our past campaigns. We are making a change for two regions, Canada and the US. For Canada we are working with Board Game Bliss. A well known and trusted partner within Canada that comes highly recommended. We’re excited that our Canadian friends should have a fantastic experience. For the US we are working with Mountain Coast Logistics, another partner that comes highly recommended. We have spent months researching the best potential partner for the Battle Monsters campaign and Mountain Coast seems to be the perfect fit for our needs. Working with this partner we are able to be more efficient in our fulfillment and see significant savings. Due to this we are able to keep costs lower overall, still maintain quality packing and service and provide shipping costs that hopefully won’t break the bank. We are also putting a heavy focus on backer experience to make sure that even though we’re trying a new partner, you the backer won’t feel a disruption because of that. We have a dedicated fulfillment specialist that will make sure each region is humming along smoothly and are hiring additional customer service help just to focus on Battle Monsters! All this to say, we’re doing everything we can to make sure this campaign delivers on time, and your items show up in good shape.

Will Mothra fit into one of the other game boxes?

Hahahaahaa! No. Mothra is too epic to be contained in a box with other Titans.

How big is the box?

Sizes are subject to change as the game is evolving. Currently the box is about 384mm wide x 295mm tall x (still evolving) deep.

Can I do a group pledge?

Our campaign is structured to maximize value, including shipping, for individual backers. You can manually group items together into a single pledge. For example, if you and a friend each want to get one of the base games, you’d be better off going in on one of the bundle pledges together. Importantly, adding additional copies of the base game as add-ons will incur additional shipping charges.

Can I add other Restoration Games titles to my pledge?

No. Due to the the logistical complexities involved, we are not able to offer other titles to this campaign.

Is there a TTS or other digital version I can try?

There is no digital option for Battle Monsters. We are planning on having prototypes at Origins Game Fair this year for you to demo.

Will the classified cards have art of the movie characters in the final production?

Yes, the classified cards will feature art of many of the great human characters from the Monsterverse movies. Because this art features likenesses of real actors, it requires additional approvals that could not be finalized prior to the campaign.

Are the Titans articulated?

The Titans are large plastic “miniatures” and not articulated toys.

Can I pledge for just the add-ons?

If you only want add-ons, and neither of the base titles, back at the Vortex level in the campaign. When the pledge manager opens, you will be able to upgrade your pledge level to receive just add-on items. Details will be provided via campaign updates.

What are the Retailer Terms?

Outpost 54 is our Retailer pledge level. A special pledge level for retailers to participate in our retailer program for this campaign. Pledge $400 now. You will finalize your order and make final payment when the game is ready to ship from the factory. Pledge funds are applied as a credit to your final order. Unfortunately, we can’t do a product that’s only the minis. (It’s not permitted under our license as it would compete with their other figurine licensees.)

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
